PROGRAM DETAILS:

 

MB Sports Camps in proud partnership with US Sports Camps have teamed-up to offer the Elite Quarterback and Wide Receiver Training Camp.   This all-inclusive experience gives athletes the opportunity to build on their football foundation by training with experts that have had success developing athletes at the NFL, College, High School and youth level.   They will receive daily instruction on how to improve their technical, tactical, and mental abilities on the football field. The program is led by Coach Geoff McArthur.

 

 

Coaches will take athletes through a simulated NFL and College mini-camp, complete with position specific skills training, speed, strength, and agility training, NFL film study and classroom chalkboard sessions.

 

When not training, athletes have the opportunity to participate in organized activities.  The experience is enhanced with special guest coaching appearance by current NFL and/or college quarterbacks and receivers.

 

LOCATIONS:

Hailing from Los Angeles, California, Coach Geoff McArthur now dedicates himself to Canadian high school football players, teaching them the skills needed to play in the NCAA.

In his senior high school season, McArthur led the nation in yards receiving (1,779) and touchdowns (28). He started his D1 career at the tender age of 17 as a “true” freshman at University of California (Berkeley), a rare and possibly first-ever accomplishment at a D1 “skill” position.

McArthur then went on to become Cal Berkeley’s all-time leader in catches (202), yards (3,100) and also yards in a single season (1,504).

 

McArthur was an all-American in 2003, finishing second in the country behind Larry Fitzgerald in receiving yards.

McArthur played receiver for two first round quarterbacks in Baltimore Ravens’ Kyle Boller and Green Bay’s Aaron Rodgers.

 

BOSTON - Campers will train at Curry College and/or Glover or Tucker Elementary Schools.  Curry College’s facilities are on-site and consist of 2 outdoor courts and 2 field houses.   Glover and Tucker are indoor courts and only 3 miles from campus.  If the off-campus facilities are needed, Campers are transported in the morning by school bus and will return to Curry College for lunch.  They come back at 4:30pm to participate in dinner and all of the evening activities! ...

CHICAGO -  The Lewis main campus in Romeoville is a picturesque 376-acre suburban setting which houses 1,000 students in eleven residence halls, all within walking distance of well-equipped classrooms, the library, the Student Recreation and Fitness Center, the Student Union, and Sancta Alberta Chapel. COACHING PHIOSOPHY:

 

We stress to our campers the importance of individual growth as a basketball player. Consequently, a primary goal of the camp is to teach players how to make themselves better during camp and, most importantly, how to continue the improvement when they leave camp. We want our campers to have fun while learning.

LEVELS OF PLAY:

 

A CAMP FOR ALL LEVELS!  Classes are programmed for three different proficiency levels: beginners, intermediates and advanced players — of all ages. Each student will be tested evaluated and placed in a group of similar ability, and age.

 

Beginners will be playing basketball in just a few days; intermediates will improve all aspects of their game; and advanced players will sharpen their game to a competitive edge.

 

Our intensified program for aspiring Tournament Players are ideal for competitive players who presently play or wish to try out for their high school or other outside leagues.

 

Over three quarters of our enrollment is comprised of sleepover students. The Sleepover program includes 25-30 hours of basketball instruction, all meals, housing, and some nightly activities.
